Pinning Down Autism began in December 2006 with members of the wrestling community who are personally affected by Autism.
Beginning with our original benefit takedown tournament in Staten Island, NY, we have had the opportunity and priveledge of seeing numerous Pinning Down Autism events run across the country. We have seen wrestling teams and clubs extend themselves to help their communities and many new ways and for many worthy causes. Thus far, our events have been featured in New York, New Jersey, Nebraska, Illinois, North Carolina and Nebraska.
Funds raised by our efforts are contributed to global service providers as well as grass roots causes within the community where the event is held. Our aim is for funds to go directly to support local resources and the families in need. It is also to create awareness to our finest scholar athletes on how they can support their neighborhood service providers.

Autism Speaks
Autism Speaks was founded in February 2005 by Bob and Suzanne Wright, grandparents of a child with autism.
Global Autism Project
The Global Autism Project is committed to empowering communities worldwide to address the needs of individuals affected by autism.
Surfers Healing
Surfers Healing was founded by Israel and Danielle Paskowitz.Their son, Isaiah, was diagnosed with autism at age three.
Blooming With Autism
Blooming with Autism raises and distributes money to families that need to purchase therapies for their child diagnosed with autism. The grant is $2000.
Ethan Foundation For Autism
The Ethan Foundation for Autism is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing support, education and other resources for families dealing with the challenges of Autism.
